Following the cast releases for the 23rd season of CBS' The Amazing Race and the 1st ever season of the Food Network's Rachael vs. Guy: Kids Cook-Off, Austin and I decided to do drafts, as we do for nearly every other reality, competition television show in the country.
First up, the AustHan Draft for The Amazing Race: Thanks to my amazing number-picking skills, I won rights to the first pick in this draft. The results fell as follows:
Note about this draft: Granted that there are 11 teams racing & only 2 AustHan, one team was left in the dust! But, not for long! Whichever team wins the first leg of the race will win the right to have Rowan and Shane on their team. Out of the 11 teams, I had this one ranked #7, so it's surprising that they are the leftover team, but that's life! Will #TeamHannah or #TeamAustin recruit Rowan and Shane? Find out by watching the premiere on Sunday, September 29th at 8 pm on CBS!

Next up, the AustHan Draft for Rachael vs. Guy: Kids Cook-Off: During one episode of the Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen, Austin and I played a short, one-hour mini draft. At the end of the hour, I was crowned the winner and therefore won the rights to the first pick in this draft as well. The results fell as follows:
Note about this draft: If you know AustHan at all, you know that we love us some Food Network! And recently, Food Network has been producing my favorite competition shows of the year, considering that they have Food Network Star, Chopped, Cutthroat Kitchen, Worst Cooks, and the Great Food Truck Race amongst many others! So, you know, the moment that commercials aired for Rachael vs. Guy: Kids Cook-Off, AustHan was right there in support of this fantastic idea. I believe a draft was proposed within seconds of that first commercial! Will we be right in our quick judgement of this show?
