It’s #ForeverYoung Wednesday once again in #AustHansWorld
and as usual, I’m obsessing. First, we have to discuss the fact that I missed a
recap of last week’s EPIC dating episode. Sadly, I was #ForeverBusy and couldn’t
get to it in time. So sad! But, can we please give a shout out to my pal
Shirley? Once again proving she is #ForeverYoung!
Onto tonight’s episode, the juniors and seniors have loaded
onto a party bus and headed to Palm Springs for some rest and relaxation. There
are just many amazing things happening with this scenario. It’s unreal! I live
for things like this.
Shirlz lives in Palm Springs and knows how fun it is! Christian
says that it’s Disneyland for geriatrics, and Andree wants to get Shirley on
the stripper pole inside the party bus, and she succeeds. But, not before
Emileen takes her place on the pole! Shirley is use to the poll dancing
movements from her aerobics class. According to Christian he would have put a
dollar bill in her jumpsuit if he had one.
Shirley points out all of the landmarks in Palm Springs to
the displeasure of her housemates. Eugene says that she talks “too damn much”
and Double A wants her to “shut up already”. The goal of the task is to learn
what both generations know about the art of relaxation.
Things get exciting when Double A takes two of my favorite
people Sam and Mike into the racquetball court for an epic showdown. Clearly,
Arthurs years of experience have paid off because he kicks Mike’s butt,
allowing him to score only two points. When Sam steps into the court, Double A
succeeds again, this time allowing his opponent to score only one point.
Things get even wilder when Christian takes Lou and Eugene
to the spa for a little manscapping. Eugene enjoys, and I do mean enjoys, a
facial while Christian get’s his brows waxed. The heat is turned up about a
thousand notches when Lou get’s his chest waxed. It’s the 40 Year Old Virgin
times 10. Hysterical!
While the boys are at play, the girls head out for fashion
makeovers. Andree styles Emileen and Angelina works with Shirley. Andree wants
Emileen to sport some “tigress” apparel. Emileen was horrified, bus she tried
those outfits on like a true champ. Lookin’ good Emileen! Andree’s outfits as
selected by Emileen are described as “sunshine Amish town” and Shirley selects
the most awful red dress I've ever seen for Angelina. I mean, Angelina, in a
dress? Can you imagine?! This is not sitting well with her. At all! Angelina’s selection
for Shirley isn't horrible. In fact, it looks pretty good!
Reunited as a group, the juniors are given the chance to
step into the senior’s shoes, with a computer analysis of what they’ll look
like when they’re old. After the initial shock of seeing themselves at 70, the juniors
talk about how getting old scares them. But, as long as they are young on the
inside that means the most to them. The seniors provide a lot of insight as to
what it means to age. It’s another one of those heartwarming moments that I
love so much, especially because I too fear aging. Although, some days I do
wish I was an old man. Doesn't everyone?
Suddenly, Mike opens a box that informs the group that they
will be heading out on the next leg of their journey where they will make a
life changing decision. The group has no clue where they are heading, and are
overly curious about what’s in store. Double A takes this opportunity to once
again share with the group how life changing this experience has been for him. Mike
reads the next letter, and the group is informed that they will be seeing where
the seniors came from. They see photos of the seniors in their younger years as
they travel to their next destination. It is revealed by Emileen that Lou was a
“hunk”! The group is informed that they are heading to Las Vegas, the land
where young and old converge.
Next week, is the finale where one member of the group will
win 50,000.00. I’m so sad that the season is coming to an end, but I am
definitely rooting for my favorites to win the prize money!
